Pruning
A Winter King Hawthorne tree before and after a structure prune. Structure pruning promotes strong branching pattern, reduces competition for sunlight, and provides proper clearance for structures/right of way.
Specialized Tree Services offers two types of pruning services:
Structural Pruning: pruning a tree or shrub to promote strong branch unions, prevent weather damage and property damage. Structural Pruning aims to reduce breakage, strengthen/promote healthy branch unions, reduce competition for light, which leads to proper foliage balance along each branch. Deadwood removal is part of this service.
Fine Pruning Techniques: tailoring the pruning of your tree or shrub to a certain style (pollarding, espalier, fruit production, specific shapes).
A Red Maple before and after structural pruning. In this case, a large co dominant stem was reduced to allow the natural central leader to take over the tree's central canopy.
